Our healthy, kid friendly chocolate snack (sugar free, ve, gf)

We know from experience that children do not love all 'healthy' foods.

Sometimes we just want simple, easy food to give to children that doesn't cost us (or them) in terms of money, energy and time.

Does such a food exist?! We hear you say.

.... Enter the Bliss Ball.

All of the above, and it is so much fun to make with them!

Bliss Balls recipe (vegan, gluten free, refined sugar free, nut free)

  • 250 g dates (1 pack)

  • 5tblspns cocoa or cacao

  • 3 tblspns coconut oil (depending on consisntency)

  • Desiccated coconut, cocoa, ground almonds (for rolling)

  • Optional: peanut butter, sunflowers, dark chocolate buttons/ chips for filling

  • Put everything except the desiccated coconut into a food processor

  • Blitz, be patient it will take around 5 minutes for the mixture to come togeter.

  • Roll spoonfuls into balls

  • Optional: Roll the balls in desiccated coconut, cocoa or ground almonds.

  • Optional: Stir in filling (peanut butter, choc chips)

  • Refrigerate for 1 hr before serving OR freeze and eat when you like!

The children at our camps love these as a treat after all the moving and breathing that they do with us!

Interested in our Camps? (and tasting our bliss balls?!)

Our mission is to hand children tools to live a more mindful life. We run Camps that give children a chance to explore Yoga and Mindfulness, and eat healthy food!
